Common Questions

Q. Can we add some new feature to the game?

A. Maybe, but it has to be a plugin that is very simple and does not in any significant way detract from the vanilla experience. It also has to be compatible with the latest version of minecraft.

Q. Hey this server isn't 100% Vanilla why do you advertise it as vanilla?

A. Multiplayer minecraft has many vulnerabilities in it to players causing lag, also it's very difficult if not impossible to run a completely vanilla server without a whitelist. Since we don't have a whitelist and no one gets paid to monitor the server we have done our best to provide a vanilla gameplay experience. Even top ranked vanilla servers are currently less vanilla then us when you consider they alter gameplay with wrappers that give regular players teleport and other commands that would not be available to players in pure vanilla minecraft. So, our stance is we are as vanilla as it gets.

Q. Why is spawn so ugly?

A. This is a semi-anarchy server, we could turn on spawn protection, but that would go against our philosophy of letting players define the server.

Q. Why is the spawn radius so large (2000 as of the writing of this FAQ)

A. While the traditional anarchy server has a small spawn that is severely griefed we prefer to let players have a variety of experiences when they first start the game. This also makes it more difficult for established players to spawn camp.

Q. Will someone team with me?

A. Trust is a rare commodity on any variation of an anarchy server. If you become a valuable resource to other players, you will find it easier to find team mates.

Q. My base got griefed!?

A. It's part of the game, if you believe it was found by xraying, staff is happy to investigate when time permits.

Q. Is duping permitted?

A. Yes, but excessively duped items may be removed.

Q. I use a client or texture pack that gives me an advantage in the game, do you consider this cheating?

A. Yes, if you can do things or see things that you would not normally be able to do with optifine/the vanilla client then it is cheating.

Q. How does banning work here?

A. Bans are issued without warning on the first offense of cheating, admission to cheating, or expressing an intention to cheat. Bans are for an indefinite period of time with the default ban length being forever and applying to all currently existing accounts of the cheater.

Q. Do you consider afk fishing cheating?

A. No, windows 10 has a default feature as does the default minecraft client that allows you to afk fish (mouse keys, f3 + t) Since afk fishing can be done without any hacked client it is not considered cheating.
